WHY A 3D PRINTER WITH DELTA KINEMATICS? 

Delta kinematics provides fast and precise motion of the printhead throughout the entire print volume. Exceptional surface quality and dimensional accuracy are the key benefits of this motion concept.

Light printhead without a heavy extruder motor minimizes the adverse inertia-induced effects on print quality. In practice, this results in a very fast 3D printer while maximizing the lifespan of the components.

Static model attached to a fixed print bed and does not move during printing. This is critical for obtaining the best quality print over the entirety of the model’s height.

Sophisticated, rigid frame construction with uncompromised HQ motion components

TRILAB original design of corner components with “TrippleLock” fixing system in combination with sturdy aluminum components ensure high frame rigidity and stability under all circumstances. The carbon fiber rods carrying the print head are very stiff and extremely light. Along with professional industrial linear guide rails (THK, Japan), these ensure precise and repeatable print head positioning. This is, in turn, clearly reflected in the exceptional quality print output.

Unique extruder combo for wide variety of materials

DeltiQ 2 fully benefits from the unique combination of two complementary extrusion systems that are easily swappable. Standard configuration is based on E3D Titan, extruder fixed on a frame with bowden filament guide, that provides a high torque and unbeatable print quality with PLA, PETG, ABS, ASA and other rigid filament materials.

Second extrusion system and DeltiQ 2 option called FlexPrint 2 is TRILAB’s internally developed remote direct drive extruder, that enables flawless processing of more advanced materials such as highly flexible (TPU, TPE) and otherwise tough materials (PA).

Versatile printer with swappable print heads and various PrintPad sheets

Standard V6 PrintHead combines efficient and focused cooling of the print, an auto-calibration probe and the class-leading E3D V6 titanium hotend. The entire printhead assembly including cable and connectors are easily removable and swappable. Swappable V6 Volcano PrintHead is an alternative for filament extrusion using wider nozzles (0,6 mm; 0,8 mm or wider) for higher layers. As an alternative to standard V6 PrintHead, it combines highly efficient and focused cooling of the print and auto-calibration probe with the class-leading E3D V6 Volcano high throughput hotend.

Flexible PrintPads provide a fast and easy way to remove your product after the print is finished. They also provide the first step towards future additive production automation. A wide spectrum of PrintPad surfaces enable optimal adhesion for individual materials: PrintPad with Smooth PEI surface is a standard surface for most applications, while PrintPad with Powdered PEI surface is suitable for more advanced materials, where coarse first layer is needed or wanted. Additional PrintPad surfaces are planned to be introduced in 2021.

Intelligent electronics and revolutionary printer control 

The main 32bit printer controller processes complex delta motion control with ease. It also provides silent stepper drivers and enables online access to the WebControl printer interface. An integrated top bottom oriented camera together with print illumination using integrated lightning enables remote print process overview. Incorporated secondary electronic unit controls internal as well as external communication of the device independent on the main board. It effectively handles file management with Wifi/LAN or USB communication with devices like USB memory stick, USB camera, various extensions or TRILAB QuadPrint solution.   

Customer can control the printer according to his needs: (a) from the palm of his hand using the DeltaControl wireless display, which can be alternatively stowed in the charging dock (DisplayHub), (b) using the WebControl interface on the PC/Mac or tablet, or (c) using the DeltaControl app in his smartphone. And all of this can be safely done both locally or remotely.

TRILAB WebControl interface

TRILAB WebControl interface allows user to control the printer and set up the print job directly from the PC, Mac or Tablet via the Wifi or LAN network or alternatively using AccessPoint (AP Mode) of the 3D printer. Printer is accessible using BONJOUR protocol (Apple/Win) or via IP address, but only after passing the Password security check. TRILAB WebControl additionally allows full control of the QuadPrint solution, management of the print files as well as exchange of printheads and print pads.

All TRILAB DeltiQ 2 printers allow Worldwide remote access for unlimited control of the printer by the customer as well as secure service support by TRILAB service team (part of TRILAB Hotline Support). This feature can be completely disabled upon customer request, but then this can significantly limit the Hotline Support features.
